* Benefits of 23 Gauge versus 25 Gauge Surgery:


  23 gauge Instruments are more rigid and effective in comparison with 25 gauge.

 23 gauge Vitrectomes have strongly increased aspiration flow, almost similar to 20 gauge. 

 23 gauge Lightfibers have strongly increased light output in endoillumination.

We also offer a complete range of 23G Instruments and Disposable instruments like; the Microforceps, Microscissors, Backflush Handles with various choices of the disposable Cannulas and Disposable Diamond Sweepers.

In the AAO 2005 convention, a new range of 23G Disposable Instruments was launched; the Disposable Trocar Cannula, Disposable Microforceps and Disposable Microscissors.

In April 2006, during the Frankfurt Retina Meeting, more 23G products were launched as to further enhance 23G surgery. Instruments like the Adjustable Fiber/Light intensity control TotalView Endoillumination Probe, TotalView Chandelier Fiber, Various 23G Laser Probes to use with ALCON/LUMENIS HGM IRIDEX Laser units, New Claus Illuminated Vitrectome and MicroInstruments.

23G surgery was introduced world wide in 2004 and in Singapore, our very first case was done in Tan Tock Seng Hospital by Dr. Lee Jong Jian in March 2005. Tan Tock Seng Hospital was also the first in the Asia region to have performed this surgery.
